Thankfulness...
Whether it is spine ward, psychiatric ward, surgery ward or obstetric and gynaecology ward, I can see photo frames, cards just like the one below, flowers etc displayed there. These gifts were given by the patients and their family, sincerely. I can feel how thankful they are to the doctors and the ward staffs that had treated and taken care of them. I liked to look at these gifts, they made me felt heart-warming.
This card catched my attention while I was in the ward today. He must had taken a lots of efforts and time to do this card...

Wow..so pretty...
Reflection: I would try my best to treat all patients the best I can in the future.

A day with full cast
I will try to wear this cast till tomorrow. I want to know the feeling of a patient with this hard thing on him. It really didn't feel good.

Saying "hi" with my cast. Today is really a tired day.

New update!
I was now in orthopaedics posting, 2nd week. I was exposed to various new things, and learnt a lot during this 2 weeks. I can say that I am enjoying this posting :D The doctors were kind and willing to teach. I was a bit regret of just realizing the true meaning of this phrase: "patients are your books". I realised that I learnt a lot from them. I can remembered and learnt about the disease better.
There was one event that touches my heart today. I was in the wound dressing room. An old father came in to remove his suture on his cervical region. The staff nurse asked the son to wait outside the room. The son was very angry because he want to accompany his father. The son showed bad attitude towards the nurse. Ermm, personally, I think that the nurse was a bit harsh on the son too. In the end of the procedure, the father whisper to me, saying that he felt sorry for his son's attitude. I can see tears in the father's eyes. I felt sad, and my heart said: "Oh please don't cry, we never blame you or your son". I was thinking of my parents after this encounter. Misses them.
